Barbie has over 25 years of professional experience and is a member of the Kansas Society of CPAs. She also served as a past board member of the Metro Chapter of the Kansas Society of CPAs. In addition, Barbie was Chairwoman and Treasurer of the Merriam Chamber of Commerce (now the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce).
Barbie is very committed to her alma mater, Kansas State University, where she is a Board of Trustee for the Kansas State University Foundation. She is devoted to encouraging higher education through many functions and charitable events at Kansas State University.
Barbie joined G.R. Starbuck & Co. upon graduating from Kansas State University in 1979.
